The Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies provides scholarships for study in the Language Workshop. Providing up to $1,000, the HLS Scholarship is open to all students who are not eligible for one of the other Workshop scholarships.
Founded with an award from the Indiana University Women's Philanthropy Leadership Council in 2018, this scholarship provides full or partial tuition for undergraduate women attending the Language Workshop as part of their preparation for an international career.
The Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies provides up to full tuition and fees for Language Workshop participants studying Estonian, Latvian, or Lithuanian. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
Preference goes to participants needing language skills to support academic study of the Baltic region or participants needing language skills for career purposes.
Preference is given to current students (graduate or undergraduate), although non-students may also apply.
The Language Flagship is designed to help undergraduate students cultivate professional-level language proficiency; that is, skills sufficient for them to function in a professional capacity in their language of study.
The IU Arabic, Chinese, and Russian Workshop programs are authorized Flagship summer training programs. Flagship students in these languages can request funding from their local programs to support study in the Language Workshop.
