An initiative sponsored by the Defense Language and National Security Education Office and administered by the Institute of International Education, Language Training Center Program is a national coalition providing university-level language and culture training for Department of Defense personnel through selected institutions of higher education.

The Indiana University Language Training Center currently partners with 1st Special Forces Command to train 3rd, 7th, and 10th Special Forces Groups and 95th Civil Affairs Brigade in critical languages and regional expertise. It also partners with the Indiana National Guard to provide pre-deployment language and culture training. The Indiana LTC has trained over 4,000 soldiers, sailors, and airmen since 2019.
