Yu Murakami holds an M.A. in Anthropology from National Taiwan University and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Japanese Pedagogy in East Asian Languages and Cultures. She has extensive teaching experience, including as an Associate Instructor for first- and second-year Japanese in EALC and as a K-12 Japanese instructor in California. Prior to joining IU, she participated in professional training programs such as the ALLEX Foundation Teacher Training Institute at Cornell University. Yu is passionate about creating engaging, culturally rich learning environments. She speaks Japanese, English, and Mandarin, and brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to Japanese instruction through her academic and professional background.
