Lamia Djeldjel is currently an associate instructor of Arabic and a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures at Indiana University. She graduated with a Masters degree in Teaching International Languages from California State University Chico, in 2012, and a BA degree in English from the University of Oran, Algeria in 2010. She taught beginning level of Arabic at the Summer Language Workshop in 2017 and the intermediate level at the same program since 2019 at Middlebury Arabic Language School in the summer of 2018.
Her interest in languages and cultures continues unabated. Therefore, the important aspect of teaching and learning foreign languages remains her goal as she combines her range of experiences with her ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent intellectual who will contribute to the Teaching of Arabic. She enjoys hiking, cooking, dancing and meeting new people.
