Keiji graduated from Waseda University with a B.A. in Education and English Language and Literature in 2018. He earned an M.A. in TESOL/Applied Linguistics from the University of Mississippi in 2020. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Second Language Studies at Indiana University Bloomington. His research focuses on phonological learning in second language acquisition. He has been teaching Japanese since 2020. He joined the IU Language Workshop in 2021 and has been the section manager of the Japanese program at the IU Language Workshop since 2023. Before coming to IU, he was an elementary school homeroom teacher at the Japanese Supplementary School in Mississippi.
