A PhD student in Linguistics at Indiana University with a minor in Gender Studies, Batool holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Teaching Methods and a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies. She taught Arabic for the Peace Corps in Jordan and designed and delivered Arabic language curricula for the Qasid Institute from 2014-2024. Batool is passionate about teaching Arabic through cultural immersion. Cultural elements are central to her Modern Standard Arabic and dialect teaching at Indiana University, both during the academic year and in the summer.
