"LEADERSHIP THROUGH LANGUAGE"

What is Project GO? "Project Global Officer" is a national initiative sponsored by the Defense Language and National Security Education Office and administered by the Institute of International Education and a coalition of colleges, universities, and senior military academies. It provides full scholarships for ROTC students in approved summer study-abroad programs.

Who is eligible? Any ROTC student from any school may apply to any Project GO program. Contracted and non-contracted students are eligible for Project GO.

Project GO at IU.
Indiana University provides Project GO scholarships for the study of Chinese, and Russian.

Project GO in Taiwan.
Indiana University provides Project GO scholarships for the study of intermediate and advanced Chinese in its summer intensive program in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan.

Award Amount: Full funding for tuition, fees, books, housing, meals, insurance, and domestic and international travel

Project GO in Kyrgyzstan.
Indiana University provides Project GO scholarships for the study of intermediate and advanced Russian in its summer intensive program in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

• Vaccinations and other medical expenses

Who is Eligible for Project GO at IU?

• Any ROTC student in any college or university (not just IU students)
• Contracted or not contracted students are eligible
• Applicants must have completed at least 2 semesters of Chinese or Russian before the start of their Project GO program. They must be prepared to study the language at the 2nd-year level or higher.
