The Summer Russian Scholarship is offered by the R. F. Byrnes Russian and East European Institute (REEI) of Indiana University to support first-generation undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in Russian-language study at their home institutions.
Who is eligible?
The scholarship is awarded on a competitive basis to applicants who meet the following criteria:
- are enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
- are enrolled in a Russian language course at a college or university
- are enrolled in an 8-week Russian language course at the IU Language Workshop
- are a child of parents/guardians who have not received an education degree beyond a high school diploma or GED
Award Amount: The scholarship covers the cost of tuition and mandatory fees (currently valued at $3533).
